時をうつす器ー海から空へー｜Vessel of Memories — From Sea to Sky
羽田は、古代に海が広がり、やがて湿地となって多様な生き物を育んだ。近世には田畑と海の幸が江戸を潤し、近代には海辺のリゾートとして人々を惹きつけた。そして今、飛行場は世界と結ばれている。
本作はその豊かな記憶を宿す器である。畳を基材にサステナブルな素材を重ね、魚籠や水鳥の巣、翼を想像するフォルムに。縁の深い穴守稲荷の御神砂を添え、来訪者の多幸を祈念している。
Haneda has always been a fertile land: once a vast sea in ancient times, later wetlands nurturing diverse life. In the early modern era, its fields and seafood enriched Edo; in modern times, it became a seaside resort attracting many people.
Today, its airport connects Japan to the world. This work is a vessel that holds these memories. Using tatami as a base and layered sustainable materials, its form evokes fish baskets, bird nests, and wings. Sacred sand from Anamori Inari Shrine is placed within, carrying wishes for the happiness of all visitors.
