Our Mission

Living with ACTA+

What is ACTA+

ACTA is a movement built on the belief that “Sound Argument into Enjoying”

Rather than treating sustainability or environmentally responsible choices as obligations, we aim to elevate them into something desirable—something admired.

With a network of more than 500 artists, ACTA develops a wide spectrum of initiatives including art sales, corporate collaborations, and creative sustainability-driven projects. Together with artists, we are building a new cultural framework—one where discarded materials regain value and where creativity becomes a catalyst for social transformation.

Through our work, we empower artists with new opportunities, fair compensation, and meaningful social engagement. We reshape the global conversation on sustainability—defining its aesthetic and emotional identity through art.

By presenting sustainability not as a rule, but as an aspiration, we strive to redefine what becomes the next standard for society.

Kiwako Hashimoto

Designer / Born into a Waste Management Business Family

With professional experience in lighting and spatial design in South Korea, Hashimoto has contributed to the launch and interior development of numerous hospitality properties both in Japan and abroad.

She leads creative directions for ACTA+’s waste-to-art initiatives, including the national waste art competition. Her work embodies the intersection of material innovation, design, and environmental responsibility.

Ryutaro Yoshimoto

Co-founder

Founder / Third-Generation Waste Management Professional

As the heir to a waste management company, Yoshimoto challenges the long-standing industry assumption that business grows when waste increases. His vision is to reshape the system itself—transforming waste from an unwanted by-product into a resource with purpose and value.

That experience and perspective make him uniquely positioned to redefine how society perceives waste, and to build a new narrative where discarded materials contribute to culture, economy, and beauty.
