船の橋／鉄の建物｜Ship Bridge / Iron Structure

船橋で昔に使われてきました道具を分解し、鉄の船を作りました。それはビルのような建物や木のように見えます。
２点の作品とも、大昔に働いていた船のイメージを色々な物語や歴史を元に自分なりに解釈し、制作しました。特に、船橋という地域が漁業に盛んだった頃、船を橋のようにしていた事がその名前の由来になっているという事を考えながら、制作に臨みました。
I disassembled tools once used in Funabashi and built an iron ship. It resembles a building like a skyscraper or tree.
Both pieces were created by interpreting the image of ships that worked long ago, drawing from various stories and history, and adding my own interpretation. I approached the creation especially mindful of how the name Funabashi originates from the practice of using boats like bridges during the region's heyday of fishing.
